Mrs. Dunbar stated, “I am thrilled to join the Day of Tears and help promote its goal: to raise awareness of the devastating loss of life occasioned by abortion. By formally declaring January 22nd the Day of Tears and asking Americans to lower their flags in memory of those that have been tragically murdered in the womb, we remind people what the real cost to our nation is from abortion, almost 60 million lives.”
The message of Day of Tears is, “January 22nd is the Day of Tears. Please lower your flag.” The organization seeks to name January 22, the day that the Supreme Court ruled that abortion was a constitutional right, as a national day to mourn the unborn children who lost their lives to abortion.
The Day of Tears, Inc. is a national pro-life organization, incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Day of Tears name has received Trademark Registration from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
